01Stories

Share up to 20 stories at once.

Line up a batch, then edit each story on its own: position and zoom the photo, trim a video to 60 seconds and add stickers. Preview before you share. If one story fails, retry only that one.

02Posts and reels

Post photos, carousels and reels from your desktop.

Publish one photo, a carousel of up to 20 items, or a reel. Everything Instagram's app asks for is on one screen, so you can write and check a post at full size.

03Scheduling

Plan stories and posts up to 75 days ahead.

Schedule a story batch, a post or a reel, and see everything that's coming up on one board, grouped by day. Otto shares each one from your computer at the time you pick.

    Pick a time

    Choose any time up to 75 days ahead. Otto keeps the story or post, with its media, in its own storage on your computer.

  2. 2

    Otto shares it

    At that time Chrome wakes Otto. If no Instagram tab is open, Otto opens one in the background, shares the post and closes the tab.

  3. 3

    Missed? Your call

    If Chrome was closed, Otto shares it when Chrome opens, up to an hour late. After that it waits for you to share it, pick a new time or delete it.

04Pins

Pin ideas to a board beside your feed.

Pin photos and videos from any post as you scroll. Your board keeps a small thumbnail of each pin, so it still works after Instagram's image links expire.

05Save and back up

Keep what you can already see.

Save a post, reel or story you're viewing. Back up your own posts, reels, stories and highlights, or your saved collection, as ZIP files in your Downloads folder. Otto remembers what you've saved, so the next backup only fetches what's new.

Otto never unlocks private or paid content. Only download content you own or have permission to use.

06Focus

Hide what pulls you in.

Switch off the parts of Instagram you don't need right now. Each switch applies to every Instagram tab, and you can turn it back on in a click.

Otto is a tool, not a service. It does its work in your browser and keeps its data there.

    Settings, pins, drafts, your schedule and download history live in Otto's own extension storage. We can't see them.

  • Straight to Instagram

    Otto talks to Instagram from your browser, with the account you're signed in to. Nothing passes through Dexidia, and Otto never touches your password.

  • No ads, analytics or tracking

    Otto has no ad or analytics code, and we don't sell or share your data.

  • Bug reports only when you press Send

    You see everything a report contains before it goes, and you can switch the technical details off.

Does my computer have to be on for scheduled posts?

Yes. Otto shares scheduled stories and posts from your computer, so Chrome needs to be open and online at the scheduled time. If it isn't, Otto shares the item when Chrome next opens, up to an hour late, and after that asks you what to do.

Can Otto download from private accounts?

Only if your account can already see them. Otto never unlocks private or paid content. Account backups cover only your own account and your saved posts. Only download content you own or have permission to use.

Will Otto like, follow or comment for me?

No. Otto only acts when you ask it to, and the only thing it ever posts is what you create and share or schedule yourself.

Which browsers does Otto work in?

Otto is built for Chrome 130 or newer on desktop, and works on instagram.com.

Is Otto made by Instagram?

No. Otto is an independent product by Dexidia. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
